View topic - Facebook v Google+
I have both. I don't think that it will kill facebook persay. Facebook pretty much destroyed Myspace and it would take a significant amount of people to join google+ to take out facebook.

The thing is, at least Facebook is honest about wriggling itself into all the nooks and crannies of your existence. With Google, you don't even realize how bad it owns you, because Google's a lot sneakier about it.
Youtube account? Google.
Blogspot account? Google.
Those ads on the side of every webpage you visit? Google.
The thing about Google+ is if you've signed on to any other site that uses a google account, avoiding google+ isn't going to stop them from grabby-handsing your personal information- they already have it anyway.

When G+ was first introduced I was stoked.
But... eh, I still kinda prefer FB (though I never actually USE it for more than checking on family). Not so much the use, more how I have to check on it (Google, you MADE this thing and you don't even have STREAM NOTIFIERS for Chrome? FOR SHAME) and the fact NO ONE I know has made the switch aside from my roomies. And even then they hardly use it.
Could be great, but we'll have to see.

I find both to be very annoying really
I have a fb but they keep changing things and it doesn't always give you the option
of keeping the old version...that you are used to using.
The google+ thing...I signed up for that just to check it out and I just didn't like
the set up.
But I doubt it will kill facebook. Too many ppl like/use it.

I want Google+ to kill Facebook. But unfortunately, no one is using it.
I actually don't really like either of them very much, but since most people I know are impossible to keep in contact with otherwise, I use both. But I prefer Diaspora, although I have a better idea for a social networking system in mind..
