Green day is a great band. I listen to their music when I'm feeling like to listening to rock but softer and not as hard as what I usually like to listen to.

Yeah, I know what you mean. They're not super hard rock. Billie Joe's voice is very melodic and he takes advantage of that. Although there are a few judiciously applied screams.

Well, I did exactly the same thing. I listened to it for a whole week at the very least, and nothing else. I just found I didn't want to listen to anything else. And yes. It's an amazingly epic album xD.
But well, American Idiot was my favorite prior to this, and the album that got me really into them. But I have a new favorite now.

Green Day is a pretty good band.
I recently saw them about a month ago in concert, and so far I can say that was the best concert I've ever been to.
They sounds almost exactly like they do on all of their CDs.
Plus the lights and set were extremely good.
Yeha, definitely the best show I've been to as well. And the thing that's great is that they record pretty much live (few takes, little editing of the sound) so you know they sound great live, haha.
They're coming to my town on the 4th of this month but my dad won't let me go.

@Monstard: That's okay; I feel that way about some bands and I can see how you could say that. A lot of their non-singles sound a little more different and they are getting to have more variety in their sound but that's okay. I don't really "hate" bands, though. I might hate what they have to say or not like their music but...
Yes, that song is absolutely beautiful. And the video is a very well executed concept.
green day is a really good band i saw them in concert about 2 weeks ago and they put on a killer show. ever since "21st century breakdown" came out i've been unable to listen to anything else...
Yeah, when I saw them it was so awesome. And the album is amazing. I couldn't listen to anything else for a couple of weeks or so. I honestly had no desire to listen to anything else.
green day is an awesome band and it would be really fun to go see them in concert cuz they look like they are having a blast all the time.
