Rules
Trolling:
Posting controversial, inflammatory, irrelevant or off-topic messages, with the primary intent of provoking other users into an emotional or disciplinary response or to generally disrupt normal on-topic discussion isn't allowed.
On the other hand, debates and arguments are allowed. Do not report abusively someone who is just trying to prove a point or speak his mind.
Harassing:
Stalking, directing racial attacks or posting in order to provoke a user is considered as harassment. Harassment of other users and/or staff members is not tolerated on Ernya. Please remember to treat other users kindly. If someone is harassing you, please contact an admin or moderator.
* Regarding Hearts Price:
No one should feel pressured to sell at a set price.
Hearts are obtained with real money, and it's only natural that the price of hearts fluctuates, no one is to blame or harass for.
Any thread regarding or discussing value of hearts will be locked.
Flaming:
Flame wars are not allowed on Ernya. Restrain yourself to start any hostile interaction with a user. We know that not everybody can get along, but please try to ignore the user instead of starting conflicts.
Behavior:
Aggressive behavior and rudeness towards other members is not tolerated on Ernya. All values and views are to be respected, and even if you share another opinion there is always a nicer way to present it.
Should a disagreement arise between two individuals, it is not acceptable to attack one another just because you and they do not see the same side of things.
Please make sure to always be polite and nice to other users and treat people the way you would like to be treated yourself.
Spamming:
Posting repetitively and abusively with the only intention to earn gold isn't allowed.
*Copy-pasting the same sentence or group of words over and over again is considered as spam.
*Bumping with such words as "bump", "save" or any kind of emoticon alone is not tolerated. If you need to bump a thread, the bump button is available every 30 minutes for you to do so.
*One word posts are considered as spam. i.e. "lol" "hi" etc and/or any single emoticons such as "=)" or "lol =)" etc.
*Triple posting is considered as spam. Nonetheless, you are allowed to triple post in order to set up a shop or a quest/charity thread.
*Excessive quoting is also considered as spam.
*Reviving old threads, without any other purpose than earning gold, is also considered as spam.
*Quizzes type of games are no longer allowed on Ernya.
*Chains letters or other meaningless games of this sort are not allowed.
*Do not post images that stretch the width of the page (not more than 650pixels width).
Spamming - IP:
*Users on the same IP May talk to one another so long as there are other users in the thread. Chatting with users on the same IP address is considered as spam otherwise. Siblings or not, you are not allowed to converse in a thread between two accounts or more under the same IP address unless you are interacting with other people.
Example: Private RP's are not allowed between users on the same IP address, however group RP's or Hangouts are fine, as it is more than just the two of you.
Necroing:
What is necroing?
Necroing is when an old* thread is posted in, resulting in bumping the thread.
OLD* is defined as for all forums, excluding the Hangout forum, as a thread that has not been posted in for TWO WEEKS.
For Hangouts it is a full month from the last post.
Owners of permanent selling threads, quest threads, charities, art shops are allowed to revive their own thread anytime.
Name dropping:
'Name Dropping' is allowed on Ernya, unless it is used for the purposes of derogatory comments, flaming, or trying to incite drama.
Indirect name dropping falls under the same rule.
Black List:
Starting threads stating that you have been blacklisted by "x" or "y" user is strictly forbidden.
Such thread will be automatically deleted, and warnings will be handed out.
Advertising:
Starting threads and/or posting referral links for the purpose of promoting a website or avatar website other than Ernya is not tolerated.
Linking to a registration page from any site is considered as advertising.
Sending links via private messages, or posting links on your own or other members profile, will not be tolerated either.
Mentioning the name of another avatar website and urging people to visit, join, or check it out will be considered the same as sending a link of the said site.
Explicit/Sexual Content:
Any kind of violence such as images or videos depicting blood or gore or description of any violent act, is strictly prohibited.
Cybering or using any sexual implements in your post will not be tolerated. Do not Role-Play sexual acts. If you wish to discuss sexuality, do so in a non-explicit way.
Username:
Are prohibited the usernames going against the ToS and containing any of the following:
* Sexually explicit, vulgar, or obscene language.
* Racially, ethnically, or religiously offensive language.
* Defamatory language.
* Language that constitutes a threat and/or represents violence.
Please be careful when you pick your username as you can be asked at any time to change it if it goes against the TOS or is found to be offensive.
Plagiarism:
Please do not claim another artist's work as your own. If you want to use someone else's work, you must link, quote, and give credit to the owner. You must follow any and all the rules set by the artist in order for you to use their work.
Exploit:
*Abusing a glitch in order to earn gold or items is not allowed. If you encounter any glitch, thanks for letting us know by posting in the feedback forum. If it's an emergency, send a private message to an admin.
*Finding out how an item looks like before its release, and letting other users know about it, is strictly forbidden. This ruins the surprise for everyone, and defeat the whole point of release dates.
Scamming/Hacking:
*Botting and Hacking are strictly forbidden.
*Using bots or hacks, such as posting with an automatic program, or trying to earn gold illegally is not allowed. You will be automatically banned without any previous warning for this offense.
*Scamming is the act of trying to steal by means of trickery towards another user. Doing such a thing will result in an instant ban.
An administrator will never ask you for your password. If someone does so then please use the report button.
Begging:
Begging for items is against our rules. Begging for art is also against the rules.
If you need help, you can organize a quest thread and/or check the charity forum.
Begging for anything related to stickers, like comments on your profile, buddy add and the like is not allowed either so please avoid doing so.
Off-Site Trading:
Heart and gold currency are the property of Ernya. So are the items and accounts. Trading or selling items/gold for any real currency or gold/items from another online community will not be tolerated.
Accounts and Passwords:
You are responsible of your account and for keeping all of your passwords away from anyone. Do not share your password with friends or family members. You will not get refunded for any items/gold stolen by someone from your family. If you share the same computer it is your own responsibility to make sure your password remains private.
Language:
We ask that you please keep your posts in English.
If the moderators can't understand what the discussion is about, then we can't make sure that you are respecting the rules.
If for any reason you were to type a post in a foreign language, we ask that you please join the proper translation along with it; however this should remain an occasional occurrence.
Bans/Warnings:
Talking about bans on the forum is prohibited. Since people would not know both sides of the story, doing so would only start rumors and/or cause drama, ruining the enjoyment of the site for other users.
For the same reason, making a thread related to a warning you received is not allowed either. The warning was sent to your by PM in order to remain private, in consequence, such thread will be locked/deleted.
Deleted/Locked Threads:
The moderators are here to make sure that any threads on the forums remain appropriate, and are respecting the rules. Threads are not deleted or locked without a valid reason, however the reason is confidential and will be discussed privately between the moderators and the user who started this thread.
If you are not the OP(original poster) of the thread, you will not be explained the reason, even if you posted in the said thread.
Please make sure to PM a moderator with any question you may have regarding a locked/deleted thread, but if you are not the OP there is no guarantee that you will be given the details, as some information may remain private.
Any topics regarding deleted/locked threads will be automatically deleted.
Mules:
You are not limited to how many mules you can have as long as it stays a reasonable number (10 is not considered as reasonable). Trying to keep it at two mules would be the best. Also, all mules must stay active; you are not allowed to make a mule with the only intention of holding a username.
For a mule account to be considered active, it needs to be used either as storage (items), as a role-playing mule, or as an account you would post with. Having 10 gold, 2 posts and an empty inventory on a mule that hasn't been logged for months is not considered active.
Inactive mules could be deleted without warning. However, if you had left over gold it would be transferred on your main account.
Main Account/Mules/IP:
*Fortune Marble: You are only allowed 2 marbles a day, main account + a mule/sibling.
It is limited to 2 marbles per ip address a day. Any sort of cheating in order to get more marbles could result in a ban.
*Games 2k daily limit: You are only allowed a main + a mule account. Trying to use more than one mule in order to max out the gold cap on several accounts could result in a ban.
Post Decorations:
Adding extra text/poems in the beginning or the end of each post isn't allowed.
Adding hatch-able pets or characters from other websites in your posts isn't allowed either.
Yet adding a flob or an image is allowed.
For flobs please keep the images under 200px height. For banners or any other post format, such as one image above and one image under your post, please keep these under 100px height and 550px width.
Adding one special letter character, at the beginning or at the end of your post format, such as "♥" or anything similar is allowed.
Try not to clutter your posts too much, and keep it readable for other users.
Music Autoplaying:
You are allowed to have any video you would like in your posts/threads, as long as they respect the rules, however, autoplaying music in threads is not allowed. Please make sure not to set up your video as autoplay.
On the other hand, autoplaying music in profiles is allowed.
Hatch-able Pets:
You are allowed up to 3 hatch-able pets per signature. However you are not allowed to have them in your posts.
Begging for clicks is not allowed, if you want to talk with other hatch-able pets owners please do so in the Games Forum. Any thread concerning hatch-able pets belongs in the Games forum and will not be tolerated in any other forum.
Please be aware that clicking hatch-able pets is solely at your own risk (Links section in the TOS).
Signature Size Limits:
Keep all images in your signature under 500x500 pixels, and under 100,000 bytes.
For threads 650 pixels wide, anything over that stretches the forum.
Please don't stretch the forums in any direction.

*Users on the same IP May talk to one another so long as there are other users in the thread. Chatting with users on the same IP address is considered as spam otherwise. Siblings or not, you are not allowed to converse in a thread between two accounts or more under the same IP address unless you are interacting with other people.
Example: Private RP's are not allowed between users on the same IP address, however group RP's or Hangouts are fine, as it is more than just the two of you.
