Hello Everyone,

Today we are going to begin accepting volunteer applications, for the recolor of the monthly spells. Please read carefully before applying.

First there will be a trial period, so even if you are selected to try out, later on you may still discover that you may not be suited for this position.

Each volunteer will be paid in forum currency, the amount of payment is yet to be determined and will only be discussed in private with the few selected individuals.

We will not be making additional public posts announcing the selected individuals, don't be discouraged if you have not been contacted right away, we may still contact some applicants after our first round of selections.

Keep in mind that this is a serious position, and you need to remember that this is not a braging competition. You must be dependable and we need to trust you with confidential information, this will be one of the strictest requirements.

Before I go on explaining the application process, I will mention that we will not accept applicants who have limited access to their computer. You must be able to install new applications/programs if necessary, that is the first of many important requirements.


General Requirements

• You must have previous experience working with Photoshop, Gimp or any other image editing software that can save files as PNG and GIF formats.
  
• You will need to show at least one graphic, picture modification, picture manipulation, drawing or animation that you have recently created.
  
• You will need to install and work from Dropbox application folder on your computer, we will explain what it does in greater detail once you are selected.
  

Skill Requirement:

• Select - Marque tool, add/subtract etc
  
• Crop - Change dimensions of canvas
  
• Move - Move/black arrow tool
  
• Layers - Need to be able to work with multiple layers
  
• Save As - Png-8 ~ Png-24 and GIF
  

Not required but a huge plus

• Masking - Hide parts of image without deleting pixels

I only wish that I was more skilled with recoloring, though it sounds like a lot of fun. I'm guessing you'd just have to know how to work an FTP program, which is pretty basic once you get the hang of it. That's probably the best way to do it since you don't have to worry too much about people playing around on the server.

I would love to do this and I meet a lot of the requirements, but I'm not so good at coloring. I think this is amazing though. I really want to learn pixeling.

I hope a lot of applicants reply, I wish I as a little better in what you need to be done. But I know there are enough artist on this site. I love the spell function so I really want this to work.

Unfortunately, I don't meet a few of the criteria as my own laptop is damaged, and my husband has limited space. Plus, I don't have enough confidence in my own pixeling abilities to be able to take on a job like this.

Though damned if I don't want to to try and help out!
